P.S.: Temperatures are always within the normal range. Gaming is always smooth and beautiful at 4K, no BSoD or artifactsĪny ideas on how I can fix this? What could be the cause: GPU, monitor or cable? Anyone have a similar issue? checked many times whether the cable is correctly plugged in (although at the GPU end it feels a little loose, the tiny screw almost seems to be in the way. (Do all displayport cables support 4K 60Hz?) Bought a new cable, does not even work at 4K! Display turns on and off without ever showing the desktop. ![]() Ran a stress test with OCCT at both 1080p and 4K, no problems Re-installed the drivers using CCleaner. I've never seen it happen at lower resolutions, but I haven't left it in a lower resolution for long. However even when it is "fixed" I still see something like tearing in the middle of the screen intermittently. Unplugging the displayport cable and plugging it back it also fixes it. Setting the resolution to 1080p and back to 4K usually fixes it. ![]() In System Preferences Sound, I did select my HDMI screen in the ouput tab, but I still have no sound (my monitor is not on mute and volume slider shows a medium level ). I still cannot have sound on my U28E590D Samsung UHD monitor. ![]() It does not happen any more or less frequently when the GPU is under load. still cannot have sound on my UHD HDMI Samsung monitor. This happens intermittently without any specific trigger as far as I can tell. I just bought this brand new monitor and maybe the second time I used it the screen started to turn off and on, and the image distorted.
